Plein air oil on canvas of the disused second world war battery gun emplacements on the East side of Culver Down, Isle of Wight. Painted as part of a series of ongoing sketches including graphite, goauche, and oil around the Island in preperation for the exhibition Plain to Sea, at ArtSway Gallery, New Forest, Hampshire which took place in August 2017.
