Artist's description:

This iconic photograph is of my aunt Crucita Lopez and her brother, my uncle Guadalupe Lopez, was taken at the family home in La Mesa, Tijuana, B.C., on land that was given to my grandfather, Miguel Lopez, by then Mexican President Lazaro Cardenas.

Having come from two families of musicians, poets and comics, this image of them playing guitar and singing makes it that much more real for me. People always say to me that these images transport them back in time, they certainly do.

Materials used:

fine art silver rag, archival paper/ink
