Artist's description:

I used to watch cricket a lot back in the 1970s/80s...this painting harks back to those days when I can the likes of John Arlott waxing lyrical about the beautiful church that can be seen from Worcestershire's ground on Sunday afternoon cricket on BBC2 (John Player League). The competitions listed on the perimeter advertising boards are the ones I used to watch, both on TV and at Chelmsford and Colchester.
