Artist's description:

Spring on the Cornish coast and a roaring offshore wind meets a storm coming in off the Atlantic. Under a patchwork textured clouded sky, the white horses rushing in on Crantock Bay have their manes ripped away in swirling tendrils of spindrift. The lowering light casts colour into the scene and picks out reflections in the churning tideline.

Like the majority of my works, this image needs to be seen in a large format as there are so many details and facets to be seen. My compositional approach gives the sky a majestic, awe inspiring presence and scale.

As with all my pictures, this image was captured 'in camera', with only minimal refinement in post processing. The colours are faithful to those I witnessed. I hand print my artworks (that are limited to a run of 50) on Hahnemuehle Photo Rag Baryta, one of the finest fine art papers money can buy, using Canon Pixma inks that give bright, faithful colours that will last a lifetime.

Framed in black wood surround with an 'ivory' coloured mount (10cm deep on all sides), the artwork is finished with acrylic gallery 'glass' that sets off the presentation while providing protection from dust and UV light.

Please Note: The main viewing image is watermarked to deter theft. The actual artwork does not bear this tag.
