As a painter I am inspired by the landscape around me - which could be near my studio in the English Lake District or journeys throughout the UK and around the world. A major feature of the Cumbrian landscape are the sheep and the cattle. In particular the local Herdwick sheep and iconic black and white Fresian cows. As well as sketching and painting the land I also draw and sketch the animals and these charcoal drawings are an example.
Done on thick 300gsm paper they are offered unframed. Placed in a frame floated off the surface with their rough edge exposed they would work brilliantly - but with glass mount they would become too difficult to transport. Hence they are offered here at a reduced price
