Original artwork description:

I have been working on some much smaller canvases recently as studies for much larger pieces. This one is early evening in Covent Garden as the day is setting and restaurants are preparing for dinner. I was particularly interested in the different planes created by the buildings and the lights attached to them. The Punch and Judy pub is an iconic part of Covent Garden and all the fun that is had in the area. The painting is framed in a dark grey thick frame chosen to emphasise the evening scene.
