Fanciful imagined landscape in gentle palette.
This little dreamscape appeared on my canvas one sunny afternoon while I had a French film streaming in the background. Without conscious thought, I believe I translated a fairytale-type rendition of the location of the movie onto canvas. Once the buildings appeared, I just played. The painting is light, gentle, yet very defined and self-contained. It makes me smile.
