This painting started as an unprimed canvas that I painted and block-printed. I think of my mother in the winter (she shared my longing for spring, but she loved to be able to see the shapes of the trees when the leaves were gone) The colors are a deep alizarin, purplish brown, with pale moss green, pale jade, lots of gold, silver and white...just a touch of red.
The finished canvas was then stretched around a wooden frame and is ready to hang. The pattern continues around the edges of the gallery wrap. I worked on this painting for several months...it constantly evolved, now finally finished. Please contact me regarding any questions you may have...
