I do not consider myself much of a feminist, but I enjoyed examining the roles of women play in business world with this piece. After the recent presidential election, I was taken aback by the resurfacing of some archaic stereotypes. The suit on this mannequin makes me think of how Mitt Romney justified that women don’t need equal pay, but he’ll make sure to get you home in time to cook dinner. It is serious enough for the office, but whimsical enough for a woman to still appear feminine.
The painting is gallery wrap style, therefore needs no frame.
