Original artwork description:

Compartments was an experimental piece of work while exploring the qualities of acrylic emulsions. This work is primarily layers of paint and colour that I scratched back into until I felt a balance had been reached. My life was busy, almost chaotic, at the time and I think this was my way of regaining some control. I was also spending a lot of time on the North Devon Coast, in particular Westwood Ho!, where the pebble ridge is huge and I feel seeped into this piece of work.

Materials used:

Acrylic emulsion
