Artist's description:

Comida Corrida (set lunch) is one of the cheapest ways to grab some homecooking in Mexico. A few dollars will get you multi-course freshly made mid-day meal. And with so many businesses competing in enormous Mexico City, walking down the street is like perusing a gallery of colorful signs all competing for your attention and your business. My favorite are the handpainted signs-- each advertisement is a unique piece of original art. This painting was inspired by a sign spotted after an afternoon wandering the enormous La Lagunilla flea market in the historic center of Mexico City.
