This painting is a very wintry scene without giving you a chill feeling. I have emphasised winter colour: the blue from the sky is reflected in the water, there are some autumn leaves still clinging to one of the trees and these colours are reflected in the snow. This is often the way with winter: there is more colour around us than we realise, which makes a winter scene beautiful.
Painted on a birch wood panel with white-painted edges, this piece can be hung as it is or put into a frame
