Original artwork description:

In 2016 I was delighted to get a chance to travel in the NFTO team car at the Tour de Yorkshire. It was great to be able to see a different view of the race and to feel the speed. The team car drivers have to be very skilled.

The rapeseed fields were in flower, but the sky was purpley-grey and hanging heavy with rain. Through the cyclists went some with their rain gear flapping. Tour de Yorkshire provides some beautiful colour contrasts between sky and terrain.
