A highly textured, layered, and abstracted coastline with oxidized metals.
I created this painting with many layers of acrylic and reactive metallic paint. The mesa (bottom left) is oxidized iron over a heavy texture. The mountain (bottom center) is made of recycled acrylic skins with a layer of oxidized copper and some acrylic dry brushed on top. The background is finished in a removable gloss varnish, the mesa and mountain in matte, and the water in satin.
