Artwork description:

Limited edition photographic print of the pier at Clevedon, UK.
An atmospheric seaside piece with that would make a great focal point in any room and the ideal gift for those who love to wrap up warm and brace the weather.

I took this shot on a dreary day in September whilst doing a whistle stop tour of the Somerset coast. Captured in the morning in full drizzle, Clevedon pier was built in 1869 and was in constant use as a landing stage for various ferries until 1970 when it failed structural load tests. Restoration works were carried out on and off until formal re-opening in 1998, now the only grade 1 listed pier in use in the UK.
A single exposure image taken with neutral density filter to increase exposure time which smoothed the sea and sky, with a touch of processing in Photoshop to convert to black and white and increase contrast to bring out the stormy feel.

This is a run of limited edition prints numbering 150. The print is numbered, titled and signed on the reverse and care notes are also included to help you make the most of your purchase. See additional photos for examples.
