Original artwork description:

Exclusive artwork, directly from the artist's studio!

Mixed media artwork on a beautiful piece of wood. Oil paint has been applied with a special finger paint technique (applied only with fingers). The resin is burned on it with his own developed technique. Very unique work and a real eyecatcher in the home or office!

This artwork is a fusion of my work as an artist and as a pharmacist. The burnt pages are part of a very important handbook of a pharmacist, called "The Dutch Pharmacopoeia". This edition is one of the first ones (very old). This handbook, sort of bible of the pharmacist we use to find important characteristics of well known pharmaceutical agents which we nowadays still use, like morphine and acidic acid.

Dimensions of the work of art: 96x55x1,5 cm

With a strong presence and success at the leading galleries such as SaatchiArt, Artfinder, Artmajeur and Singulart, the demand for his work has grown enormously in recent years. His work is mysterious and stimulates the viewer's imagination. His art is constantly in motion and is not only limited to figurative, but also abstract, portrait work and sculptures belong to his oeuvre. As the artist himself describes: “I use many different materials such as wood, paint, (bee) wax, sanguis, gold and silver, cotton and various types of resin. The frameworks have been set out in advance, but the creative process only starts after the first hand has been put on it. In this I let myself be guided by my feelings. There are then no limits to what I can do. I am always looking for a new effect, a new image, looking for the unknown. I have the feeling that there is always more to discover. ”

Each work is unique and handcrafted the whole way. All work is signed on the back of the panel by the artist and ready to hang. Will also be delivered with a certificate of authenticity.

All artwork is very carefully packed in cardboard boxes with layers of bubble wrap to protect them to ensure the artwork will reach you safely. World Wide shipping takes around 10 days to arrive, depending on it's destination.
