Chrysanthemums were first cultivated in China as a flowering herb as far back as the 15th century BC. The plant is renowned as one of the Four Gentlemen in Chinese and East Asian art. The chrysanthemum is one of the "Four Gentlemen" of China (the others being the plum blossom, the orchid, and bamboo). The chrysanthemum is symbolic of nobility. It is also one of the four symbolic seasonal flowers.
I do not have many paintings for chrysanthemum, probably because I don't know her as much as I know peony or lotus flower. However when chrysanthemums blossom at golden Fall season (late Fall), I am always lingering around them enjoying its unique fragrance. I am attracted by its nobility and uprightness, maybe deep down in our heart, this is what we think the essential nature of gentlemen.

Condition: What to expect an Original Chinese Painting
The painting is not mounted or framed. The painting is in excellent condition but I need to let you know below fact to avoid any misunderstanding:
The painting will be folded and securely sealed in water proofed protection. Because of the thinness of Shuan Paper, when you open the package, you will see some folds and hairline creases. Once the painting is mounted properly, the fold lines will be gone completely.
