Artist's description:

Scilla And Cariddi is named the Straits between Reggio and Messina. The two places at the mouth of the Strait of Messina were famous in ancient times for the difficulties that the sailors had to overcome when they came in that part of the sea. The place is mentioned in Homer's Odyssey, Virgil's Aeneid and in 'Dante's Inferno.
The photograph shows the village of Chianalea's Scilla and its beautiful colored houses
