Artist's description:

I am fond of still lifes, especially those painted by old Flemish masters. In this one, I have shown a speciality from my town: cherries. The fruits are displayed in blue and white bowls looking like old Chinese porcelaines. The green of the leaves brings out the red of the cherries and makes them more mouth-watering. But beware! There is the third primary color, too: yellow wasps are ready to sting anyone who would try and stop them eating these beautiful, round fruits. Even in a colourful, quiet scene, threat lingers.

This is a 41 x 27 cm (10.6 x 16.14") oil painting, on a high quality linen canvas I stretched myself. I paint with Old Master Techniques.

It will be delivered with a certificate of authenticity, ready to hang and signed on front. Sold unframed.
