Artist's description:

Generally Lee Turner makes lithographs of interesting landmarks from strange angles, occassionally dogs or of three dimensional signage with boys names.

Last year he began a process based, random, series of works making use of boxes of thirty-six coloured pencils and a drawing board. He produced many drawings and eventually began producing them as lithographs.

Stripes are made from three plates, each of twelves lines, printed in twelve colours from one roller, thirty-six colours in total. These twelve colour "split" rolls were then printed as monotypes. The stripe plates were finally converted in to check plates.

Materials used:

Lithograph, printed in seventy-two colours from six positive working photo-litho plates on white Somerset satin
