In the heart of the English Peak District is the village of Tissington. Tissington village is really lovely. It's got a village pond with crazy wandering ducks, a olde worlde sweet & antique shop & a superb butchers amongst others. The Hall is beautiful & you can potter around the village, visit the Hall or go on the Tissington trail. Well worth a visit if you are in the Buxton area. We regularly visit this area as it's only a short drive from home. My wife and kids always head for the Edward and Vintage sweet shop. This is the view from the shop, as I usually sit outside and sketch while waiting for them.
