Catbells is situated on the side of Derwentwater in the North of The English Lakes. At a height of 451 metres, Catbells is one of the most popular fells for walkers in the Lake District.
Once at the summit, the views are of Derwentwater, Bassenthwaite Lake and the surrounding Lakeland Fells are breathtaking. One of our favourite places in the Lake District, we have walked this fell many times, taking in the stunning views and when reaching the summit, we have sat for hours taking in the beauty of the Lakeland Fells.
This particular photograph was inspired by the lush green covering and the stormy clouds appearing over Catbells and The Newlands Valley and of course, the 2 lone walkers putting the whole image into perspective.
