Hullaballoo, a series of 9 new paintings, playfully looks at humorous and unusual words in our English language. Many things inspire me artistically but a constant go to source is the English language. Whether it is music lyrics; song titles; poetry; quotes or simply modern jargon, I’ve used them all as motivation for painting series. Each of the titles I used in Hullabaloo are words that are unusual, energetic and just make me smile. Catawampus is one of nine paintings in the series.
