Artist's description:

This artwork was made on 100% cotton fabric and painted with fiber resist dyes, beeswax and paraffin. In this piece I combined two different techniques of painting with batik. Layering of colors using wax as resist and shading with heavy crackling on the face.

This artwork was inspired by carnival days both here in Gran Canaria, Spain and in my home country Uruguay. The background music while painting were murgas and parodias from Uruguay while longing the good old days of celebration, customes, drums and music.

This artwork is shipped in a reinforced cardboard box padded with bubble wrap and extra protection in the corners.
