Artist's description:

You kick back in your deckchair and breathe warm wood smoke as the pop and crackle of your campfire crisps a wedge of toast. Through the gumtrees crystal blue waves lap gently at the icing-sugar beach, beckoning you for a dawn dip. A rowdy row of rainbow lorikeets adorns the roof of your tent, as one dare-devil sweeps down to land on your shoulder in search of a crumb. Lazy kangaroos relax on the grass nearby, ears twitching as your camp kettle boils and you embark on another glorious day in paradise.

[This painting is a visual diary of my childhood camping memories, organised into camping plots and the colours of summer].
