Artist's description:

This stunning photograph of my aunt Camerina Lopez was taken at my parents wedding in August of 1949. My aunt, who was always fashion-forward, decided on black as her bridesmaid dress-albeit a iconic dress-designed by her. An anecdote of my dear aunt who transitioned in 2005, was that she would light match sticks, blow them out and use the resin to line a stocking line on the back of her calves to create the illusion that she had on silk stockings when she could not afford any.

Materials used:

fine art silver rag, archival paper/ink
