Original artwork description:

The camels and their handlers came from Afghanistan to open up routes through the Outback which was too hot and dry for horses. This triptych is stunning to view! It is possibly the most 'optic impact' work I have done as it covers a view horizon to horizon. The romance of the early explorers surviving their journeys because of these strong drought resistant cargo carrying animals. I regret that no photo can truly present this expanse - you just must stand in front of it and follow the journey wherever it takes you.

Materials used:

Canvas stretched on timber cradle with all edges painted
