Artwork description:

This image has won Telegraph Travel Competition. I was trekking across the Sahara when a camel caravan appeared on the horizon at the foot of the Atlas Mountains, It was just after sunset and the sun had risen just enough to cast a perfect ray of light across the desert floor, silhouetting the camels. I exposed the camels in silhouette but retain some detail in the foreground and mountains. It was a 'National Geographic Your Shot Editors pic' and remains one of my best selling images.
