This painting is about expectations and uncertainty of the future. I am a surflifesaving athlete, and the moment of the competion is the most important: it's the time to see the results of an hard training, but anyone can know for sure what will happen because there are too many factors at play...
"The tension of the race is maximum, on that chair you should concentrate but it is difficult. The chair is the emblem of the expectation and tension that precede the beginning of something new: the pool is empty and not a swimmer but a runner is about to leave. The future is often different from what we think".
Call room has been exposed at Palazzo Martinengo (Brescia, Italy) in the winners exhibition of Nocivelli Art Prize, July 2018.
