Original artwork description:

Painting inspired by ancient anatomy treaties of past centuries and its beautiful etchings.

The rib cage, invaded by leaves and twigs which made it “alive” somehow, protects a “relic” represented by the word CEREBRUM (Latin term for “brain”). This golden word is in the position where we usually find the heart, creating a surreal composition.

The artist imagined the rib cage as a precious cabinet that preserves an antique relic, represented by the golden word.

Acrylic and gold leaf 22 kt on canvas, ready to hang.

Materials used:

Acrylics, gold leaf 22 kt
