A Painted Lady butterfly follows a Geisha......
Somehow this painting just fell into place. I wanted to use strong colours on this painting to create contrast and drama with gestural painting on the face and kimono. The colours then seemed similar to those on the painted lady butterfly which seemed appropriate. Again, nature in harmony.
