Artwork description:

This is a two block lino print of butterflies on buddleia. The main block is printed in dark green and the butterflies are overprinted in a washy orange. It is printed on to pale blue watercolour paper.

I was inspired to make this print because the butterflies dancing around the buddleia bushes in my garden in late August were so lovely and I tend to make prints that remind me of sunshine and Summer because this is my favourite time of year and I like to look at images that remind me of it in the depth of Winter.

The print has a decorative border.

Materials used:

watercolour paper, relief printing ink and lino
