Artwork description:

This image was captured during a visit to Hampi in Karnataka, India. We had hired some bicycles so we could get around to some of the sites surrounding Hampi. We'd been to visit a very historically village called Anegundi where we had some lunch and visited Shri Rangnath Swami Temple and Durga Temple just outside of Anegundi village. As we were cycling back and enjoying the rural countryside views we came upon this sight which we'd become very used to see where farmers will burn the remains of their previous crop before sowing the next one.
We went past countless rice paddies along the road, but I found the smoke from the little fires in this field against the low evening sun looked very atmospheric so stopped to get a few captures. I also like the diagonal composition the smoke creates with the farmer in the middle of this line created, drawing your attention to him.
