On weekends I ride on my recumbent trike along Chicago's Lakefront Trail and take photographs on the side paths near lake Michigan. On this particular day I was near the Bill Jarvis Bird Sanctuary when I noticed a grouping of flowers. I pushed my camera down with the lens pointing up and took the photograph blind. I did not know what it looked like until I got home. I had captured three kingly, translucent flowers. I like the photo, because of the sense of depth, compostion and translucent petals.
