"The brook would lose its song if we removed the rocks" (Wallace Stegner)
This work was created by tearing thin layers of paper off the acrylic Ink surface, revealing the vulnerability of the paper. As the proverb already introduces, this work is my interpretation of a canoeists’ struggle, as well in the water as in real life.
This artwork is sold in an aluminium frame (silver) with a passe-partout holding the work carefully in place. Despite all the safety precautions, such as varnishing the surface, this work should not be exposed to direct sunlight.
Carefully packed in a cardboard box with layers of bubble wrap, this artwork will reach you safely.
If you have any questions about the work, drop me a line or two, I’ll be happy to answer.
