Artist's description:

'Brixton Bowie' (Trembling Flowers Series), David Bowie Tribute, A1 & A2 Editions of 10

This is the A2 sized Edition of 10

If you say run, I'll run with you
If you say hide, we'll hide
Because my love for you
Would break my heart in two
If you should fall
Into my arms
And tremble like a flower (David Bowie, Let's Dance)

David Bowie (David Robert Jones, 8 January 1947 – 10 January 2016) was an English singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, arranger, painter, and actor. Bowie was an influential figure in popular music for over four decades, renowned as an innovator, particularly for his work in the 1970s. He was known for his distinctive baritone voice as well as the eclecticism and intellectual ambition of his work. His androgynous appearance was an iconic element of his image, particularly in the 1970s and 1980s.

Photographic Montage and Collage of Tributes and Flowers placed by fans and well-wishers at the David Bowie Mural in Brixton, South London.

A mural of David Bowie by street artist James Cochran, aka Jimmy C, painted in 2013 has been chosen by fans as an impromptu shrine to remember the rock star.

Thousands of fans mourning the star have made the journey to Morley's department store in Brixton in south London - where Bowie was born in 1947 - to lay flowers and tributes at the foot of the giant Bowie mural which depicts him made up as he was on the cover of the hit 1973 album, Aladdin Sane.

This series of seven images is a photo-montage of some of these tributes and flowers, produced on 100% Cotton Fine-Art Hahnemühle Photorag Paper. Signed and accredited by mixed media artist and photographer Jack Smith.
