During the heat of the summer, the edge of the water is often the best place to go! As I painted this, there was a cool breeze off of the water, providing cooling and shooing away the pesky bugs! I felt like it was just me and some water birds. Just a lovely, almost silvery, morning, at high tide. Truly a gift.
