Very early work of Arches National Park in Utah which I visited whilst travelling across the States in 1998 (my own "On The Road").

Loved the desert landscape there - full of forms weathered by nothing but the wind and occasionally the rain. The bright orange sand on which the brush seemed to levitate at midday in absence of shadows.... an almost Dali-esque landscape...

Work is unframed but in good condition - very textured paint surface as I was experimenting with acrylic gloss medium at the time...
