Artist's description:

This painting celebrates the little fluffy white heads of bog cotton growing in the marshy moorland of my native Scotland. It was painted from memory after a walk on a wet day of which there are many on the misty Isle of Skye. I have added a few little white-washed Skye cottages in the background, used warm colours and avoided sharp lines in order to convey the misty atmosphere of the place as well as its soft cosiness, in spite of the harsh climate and remoteness.
