Oil Painting on canvas, of a ballet dancer. Since a little girl, when prints of ballerina paintings done by famous impressionist painter Edward Degas; hung on the wall of my room...I have always wanted to paint their graceful beauty, and the flowing and filmy dresses that they wore. Although the photo I used as a reference had a filtered & toned-down appearance, I saw so many colors; that 'danced' with light and captured an almost iridescent quality.
