I get great pleasure from walking through the woods listening to the birds sing whilst the aroma of wild garlic and fresh spring greens fulfil all of my senses,
Here we have a painting of a bluebell wood taken from a photo I took with my phone whilst visiting family back in Derbyshire England.
The all silver birch trees were in radiant form on this day and I feel that I've captured it o my best of abilities with the use of my palette knife.
I have also used my palette knife to create an almost 3d effect of the fore ground bluebells.
I sign my paintings C Mottershead as this is my maiden name and what I'm know by in my painting career.
