This painting represents my love of the sea. I wanted to create a piece with complete freedom, drawing on personal memories rather than a specific reference. I chose a gentle palette and worked fast and loose to lay down the first layers of the composition. I worked mostly with brush and used a knife on wave and rock details. You could be in Cornwall or thousands of miles away. You choose.
Canvas sides are painted white and two coats of varnish have been applied for UV protection.
