Artist's description:

This piece is inspired by summerskies and vivid blooms. Marking the mid-point in the year it is a celebration of the colour of summer.

Part of the Death and Rebirth collection, this piece juxtaposes the life and vibrancy of summer with ever-present mortality. In the words of the bard "Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May, And summer's lease hath all too short a date,..."

This piece is mounted on a 40cm x 40cm stretch frame.

I am currently raising money for Mind, a UK based mental health charity. I am hoping to raise £800 and will be doing the Mind Hike in June 2018; a 24 hour walk around Cornwall to raise awareness. All profits from the sale of all my batiks will be donated to this, so please #makemeanoffer and know that you will be supporting a great cause!
