Artist's description:

Named after an iconic painting by Jackson Pollock - 'Blue Poles' was purchased amid controversy by the National Gallery of Australia in 1973 and today remains one of the gallery's major holdings.

This is my version of 'Blue Poles' - thinking about young gum trees striking through a desolate dawn landscape after bushfires have ravaged all the greenery.

Sorry Overseas Buyers - I will be selling this ONLY to buyers in the United Kingdom as it is too big for standard overseas parcel couriers.

Materials used:

Gesso, powdered inks, acrylic paints, oil pastels, biro and oil paints.
