Artist's description:

Beautiful poem by Pablo Neruda; Love Sonnet 17, lines 5 and 6:

"I love you as the plant that does not flourish, and carries hidden within itself the light of its flowers".

Love isn't superficial, you love the inside of the person, that's what counts. The true self, the soul is what Neruda loves. The beauty that's admired is the inner beauty of the flower, as you look at a dead flower in winter you know it has beauty within. The flower will bloom again in spring and emerge transformed, shining even brighter, more radiant and colorful than ever before.
