Artist's description:

In all its splendor, the Peacock sings of summer meadows, fragrant evenings and happiness.
This is a large reduction linocut with 7 colors, reduction means that as I print the colors and sculpt the plate, I cut away the lino as I go along, leaving a lino plate I can't print more from, so there are only 10 prints.
Reduction lino is quite a difficult process as you have to register, that is, line up the plate and paper every single time you print each print for each color, and with 7 colors, this amounts to a lot of patience! There is a lot of ink on this linocut, and I deliberately work with the underlaying colors showing through to some degree.
All my linocuts are handprinted by me, the artist, and I sign, title and number each print.

If you would like to see some Youtube films with me printmaking, and you can see me make a reduction print, look at and search under my name for a whole gang of printmaking films, or have a look in the "me at work section here in my shop"

SIZE: The linocut itself measures 23" x 13.5", (60cm x 34cm )
and the beautiful piece of warm white paper measures 26" x 16", (67cm x 40cm)
Linocuts are wonderful graphic pieces of printmaking, that can make for a real focal point in your room, you are so welcome to ask me about framing advice etc.

SHIPPING: I'll mail "Blue Bird" to you protected by tissuepaper and a plastic sleeve so it arrives safely, see my reviews. My prints come with a flier (see thumbnail) explaining what a linocut is, and who I am as an artist.

If you have any questions just get in touch..... that's what I am here for!

Thanks for looking and welcome back.
