Barn owls are one of the most beautiful of British birds and certainly one of my favourites. I am lucky enough to be able to spot many of them as I walk my dogs here in the Suffolk countryside, and every time it gives me the same thrill. This is an original watercolour painting of an owl perched within a boat shed with an old block and tackle hanging on a nail banged into the rustic wood. It is painted with Daniel Smith paints, giving wonderful rich colouring and texture effects.
Measuring about 15 x 10 inches, this painting will be presented bevel mounted in white and and I have selected a complimentary rustic 1.75 inches wide wooden frame which suits it perfectly, to a total size of approximately 24 x 18 inches, ready to hang.
