Scottish mountain waterfall painting inspired by the Blackhill falls on the Isle of Skye on the west coast highlands of Scotland. The waterfalls are on the road to the Sligachan Inn, in a remote area of the island, often covered in mist and low cloud. In this ainting I have tried to convey the remote atmosphere of this wild landscape with the gushing falls and the Cuillin mountains in the distance.
Painted in a contemporary semi abstract impressionistic style in bold primary colours red, yellow and blue, with a touch of muted red ochre, moorland in the foreground, with a moody misty sky. Painted on a slightly textured canvas which gives it a soft textural look.

Painted with a palette knife and fingers, using quality artists acrylics on a small square format 8" x 8" (20 x 20cm) canvas, with a varnish finish and white hand painted wooden frame with cord ready to hang.

Comes with certificate of authenticity
