Artist's description:

This is one of an ongoing series of paintings and drawings that are loosely based on the forms of the many prehistoric Native American earthworks that remain visible on the landscape of the Southeastern United States. Those earthworks are among the very few easily visible vestiges that remain as evidence of the ancient cultures that once occupied the land where I was born and where I continue to live and work.
