Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

These are the famous Camarguais black bulls, bred for the ring, spotted in a field on the way to the Rhône and Avignon. I was struck by the effect of the strong morning sun through the trees against the low ridge - a light which here diffracts into a pattern of vivid, almost Fauve, colours.

This painting forms part of a series whose aim is to express the experience of the southern French light.

The canvas is painted around the edges, so may be hung framed or unframed.

Materials used:

Acrylic paint on stretched canvas
